How long will it take to fix my car?
To start, it depends on the amount and the severity of the damage. Other factors are the type
of vehicle and the availability of parts. The more common the car, the more likely the parts
will be readily available. As cars have become more complex, it is more common now to uncover
unseen damage during the repair process. This means added time to order parts and make repairs.
We always give you our best estimate of the time required when we first write your estimate.
During the repair process we will keep you informed on the progress of repairs and of any
unforseen matters that may cause a hold-up.
How do I pay for it?
Private repair accounts, Insurance Excess and Contributions are to be paid in full on
completion of the work. Accounts for claims against a "Third Party" are the responsibility
of the owner of the vehicle being repaired and are also to be paid in full on completion
unless prior arrangements have been made with management. All accounts can be paid by Cash,
Visa Card, MasterCard or Bankcard. Cheque payments will be accepted upon approval by
"TeleCheck" in accordance with their conditions. While it is the insurance company's
responsibility to pay their share of any insurance claim, it is the customer, or the vehicle
owner's ultimate responsibility to make sure all costs are paid.
Can you match the paint on my car?
Paint matching has become a science in the motor vehicle repair industry. Our computerised
paint mixing system helps us to achieve an accurate colour match for your car. We mix our
own paint and blend the adjacent panels around the damaged section as necessary to ensure
colour consistency. With today's technology, our downdraft spray and bake ovens and paint
curing systems, we can duplicate your cars factory finish in both colour and durability.
How is payment handled if someone else hits me?
In this case, you are considered the claimant and are entitled to restoration of your car
to pre-accident condition. If the owner of the other vehicle involved has insurance covering
your vehicle, you will first need to organise estimates for the damage to your car. These
estimates should be forwarded to the other party together with a covering letter requesting
that they pass them onto their insurance company for consideration. You should then be contacted
by their insurance company to arrange for an assessment of the damage to your car and suitable
arrangements made to have your vehicle repaired or a settlement reached.
Care and maintenance of the new paint finish?
You will need to take special care of your new paint finish for approximately the first
six weeks. Do not apply wax or polish during this period. Always wash your car in the shade
using cool water and quality car wash products that are pH balanced to gently clean your car.
Dry with a soft cloth. It is generally considered that paint protection should not be
re-applied until approximately six weeks after your vehicle has been painted. This allows the
final curing process of the paint to take place. If paint protection is applied before the
paint has fully cured, it may cause blemishes to appear on the paint finish. For full advice
on this matter, it is always best to contact the company who first applied the paint protection
to your vehicle. Following these suggestions will help maintain the colour and shine of your
new paint and will make it last longer.
